We are a regional coalition of nonprofit and mutual aid organizations, cultural workers, movement builders, policy advocates, and community leaders who believe that our communities deserve more—and that we are the ones best positioned to lead that future.
Why we exist
We formed this coalition in response to deepening federal resource constraints that continue to widen racial, economic, and geographic inequities across our region.
As the gap between urgent community needs and available funding grows, we refuse to accept a status quo that under-resources those closest to the solutions.
Our Values
We move with shared values that guide both what we do and how we do it:
-
We confront the root causes of inequity and name systems of harm while practicing solutions grounded in collective care.
-
We believe in shared power and decision-making by those most impacted.
-
We practice clear, open communication and mutual accountability.
-
We are stronger together. We move at the speed of trust and show up for one another.
-
We reject scarcity thinking. There is enough for all of us when we invest in community, not control.
Our Guiding Principles
Move from Silos to Solidarity
Recognize our shared fate. Coordinate across organizations and roles.
Commit to Co-Liberation
Our futures are tied. Let’s act like it.
Center Community Wisdom
Listen to those most affected. Solutions from the ground up.
Strengthen Collective Capacity
Discomfort is part of the work. Stay in it.
Lead with Shared Purpose
Focus on what unites us. Justice is the foundation.
Organize Bottom-Up
Decisions and direction must come from the community.

Community Centric Fundraising — San Diego Chapter
Community-Centric Fundraising is a fundraising model that is grounded in equity and social justice. We prioritize the entire community over individual organizations, foster a sense of belonging and interdependence, present our work not as individual transactions but holistically, and encourage mutual support between nonprofits.
