From Silos to Solidarity — OUR SECOND TOWN HALL
On April 3rd, at our first Community Town Hall, we collectively acknowledged the profound impact of federal funding freezes and administrative threats on our organizations and communities. We shared our grief, voiced our outrage, and began to strategize for a future rooted in solidarity and mutual care. Key takeaways from our last meeting included the urgent need for rapid response funding, coordinated advocacy efforts, and the amplification of community voices.
Following our impactful first gathering on Thurs 4/3 at the Chicano Park Museum & Cultural Center, where over 50 nonprofit leaders, community members, government and philanthropic representatives, and journalists united to address the pressing challenges facing San Diego’s nonprofit sector, we are excited to invite you to our 2nd Community Town Hall - This is an Emergency Declaration!
